The MPS-Socially Qualified (MPS-SQ) certification standard has been updated. The standard has been revised and adapted to the latest insights. With this, the standard meets the most up-to-date requirements from the market, including IWAY (IKEA supplier code of conduct).
The main changes are:
- Adjustments following experiences during audits.
- Textual adjustments.
- Addition of some new requirements, such as:
- Presence of an alarm on the premises so that employees can be alerted in case of emergency.
- There should be structured consultation between management and employees regarding MPS-SQ.
This new version (version 10.1) has been endorsed by the MPS Board and will be effective from 1 August 2023. From 1 August 2023, all participants will be audited and certified according to the new version of MPS-SQ.
